cisco.catalystcenter.network_device_images_validations module -- Resource module for Network Device Images Validations

Synopsis

  • Manage operation create of the resource Network Device Images Validations. - > Custom network device validation refers to the tailored process of verifying and assessing the configurations of network devices based on specific organizational requirements and unique network environments. Unlike standard validations, custom network device validations are designed to address the distinctive needs and challenges of a particular network infrastructure, ensuring that devices operate optimally within the defined parameters. Upon task completion, the task API response's `resultLocation` attribute will provide the URL to retrieve the validation id.

This module has a corresponding action plugin.

Requirements

The below requirements are needed on the host that executes this module.

  • catalystcentersdk >= 3.1.3.0.0

  • python >= 3.5

The Cisco Catalyst Center port.

catc_debug

boolean

Flag for Cisco Catalyst Center SDK to enable debugging.

Choices:

catc_host

string / required

The Cisco Catalyst Center hostname.

catc_password

string

The Cisco Catalyst Center password to authenticate.

catc_username

string

The Cisco Catalyst Center username to authenticate.

Default: :ansible-option-default:`"admin"`

catc_verify

boolean

Flag to enable or disable SSL certificate verification.

Choices:

catc_version

string

Informs the SDK which version of Cisco Catalyst Center to use.

Default: :ansible-option-default:`"2.3.7.6"`

Name of the network device validation.

operationType

string

The operation type, as part of which this validation will get triggered.

productSeriesOrdinals

list / elements=float

The custom check will be mapped to the product series and devices that belong to this series. These devices will consume this check when triggered. Fetch productSeriesOrdinal from API `/dna/intent/api/v1/productSeries`.

type

string

The type of network device validation determines whether this validation runs before or after the operation.

validate_response_schema

boolean

Flag for Cisco Catalyst Center SDK to enable the validation of request bodies against a JSON schema.

Note

  • SDK Method used are software_image_management_swim.SoftwareImageManagementSwim.create_custom_network_device_validation,

  • Paths used are post /dna/intent/api/v1/networkDeviceImages/validations,

  • Does not support check_mode

  • The plugin runs on the control node and does not use any ansible connection plugins,

  • but instead uses the embedded connection manager from Cisco CATALYST SDK
